The media plays an important contribution in stereotyping due to its ability to access privileged information which we do not carry that makes us likely to trust in what is being reported. By depicting people in a certain way it has the power to alter our information of th em without penetrative all the details. In domainy instances these portrayals are reasonably accurate, unless when because of our lack of all the facts, they are merely opinions. In universal constabulary police police officers are often portrayed as depressed authority figures with no empathy for people. They are often accuse of racial profiling, abuse of power, issuing many tickets to meet quotas and outlay a lot of time drinking coffee and ingest donuts. When we designate of a police officer we visualize a sloppy, overweight, man with an attitude problem. This is the common stereotype. Police officers work to armed service and entertain the community. In order to effectively do their business organization they have to be stern and authoritative with people who hoo-ha the law. It takes a great deal of discipline to be a police officer. Applicants must meet height and weight requirements and go with rigorous training before they can start the job.
